Report
The 4s were ready and up for a tough game, but the opposition had other ideas. Due to problems with public they were running late. Coupled with the unfortunate mishap of their keeper and 2 players being stranded on the M2 in a broken down car it wasn’t looking good. Board’s started with 8 and valence went about scoring goals. Well trying to. Despite an open goal there were still some misses. Notably, Mark Whitmill will have to relive the un- kept, open goal that he missed. Even now he will be reliving that moment wondering just went wrong. Scoring 4 goals as recompense will not cover up the miss. Board’s did not go down quietly and scored a good goal after a passage of neat passing and sustained pressure. Just before the half we evened up the sides a little by letting Al-bert keep for the opposition. This helped the 4s by giving them a target to hit and actually resulted in more goal being scored. At half time the game was technically won so Sonic swapped to play for the visitors to make their trip worthwhile. Boards forces another goal with the help of a defensive assist and valance increased their lead with 4 by Alex Stamp, 2 by Chad Henderson and 1 by Henry Robinson. The game was played in good spirits and Boards put up a good fight against the odds. Final score 11-2
